- Select Request to Fill Position on the Navigation Bar.
- Choose the Onboard New Hire on the How would you like to fill this position? from the drop-down list.
- Enter the Request Number or select Generate to designate a USA Staffing-generated number if your agency does not have a specific numbering convention for requests. Each request number must be unique and can only be used once. Valid characters include A-Z, 0-9, and hyphen (-) only.
- Choose the Hiring Organization from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Hiring Manager from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Yes radio button if the position is Interdisciplinary.
- In the Position Descriptions section, you may enter your own position description or choose a PD from the Library. If entering your own position description, See Adding new position description information to a hiring action.
- Choose the Yes radio button if the position is Remote, and select Yes on the confirmation message.
- Do you want to recruit for a specific number of vacancies per duty location? If Yes, add your location. If No, enter the number of vacancies in the Total Vacancies field. You can enter a numeric value, Few, or Many.
- Enter a City, Zip Code, County, Country, or Location Code in the Find Location search field. The system will automatically display a list of locations based on the information entered.
- Choose a location from the list. If Location is selected, enter the number of vacancies available for the selected location.
- Repeat the steps above to select additional locations, if applicable.
- Choose the Security Clearance Required from the drop-down list.
- Choose the Is this a supervisory position? from the drop-down list, if applicable.
- Choose the estimated amount of travel required from the drop-down list.
- Place a check in the Is drug testing required? check-box, if applicable.
- Place a check in the Is financial disclosure required? check-box, if applicable.
- Place a check in the Is this a Bargaining Unit Position? check-box, if applicable.
- Place a check in the Is relocation authorized? check-box, if applicable.
- Place a check in the Is this position telework eligible? check-box, if applicable.
- Choose Position Sensitivity and Risk from the drop-down list, if applicable.
- Choose Trust Determination Process from the drop-down list, if applicable. This field is required if Position Sensitivity and Risk is selected.
- Enter the First Name of the new hire.
- Enter the Middle Name of the new hire.
- Enter the Last Name of the new hire.
- Enter the Suffix of the new hire, if applicable.
- Enter the Email Address of the new hire.
- Choose Save to leave the request in Incomplete status for later review and approval, or select Submit to HR to finalize the request and forward to your Human Resources office for action.
The location code 990000000 – Location Negotiable After Selection can be located by entering 990000000 in the Find Location search field. Note: This code should be used for large nationwide recruitments and should not be used for telework positions, which is a condition of employment.
